Are we loving God and our neighbor? There is so much more to that than just not judging them. It means that we must put others ahead of ourselves. There needs and wants. Jesus says when you feed and clothe the least of these you have done it for me. Sometimes, our greatest ministry can just be to love the unlovable. Now, I have had a great deal of trouble with this and I never even knew it. I had heard a story about loving a homeless man in a restaurant and was told that we should love the unlovable. I guess I always thought that was not a problem for me because to me the homeless man was not unlovable. When I went through the period of judgement that I shared, I learned that I did have a problem loving the unlovable because they were to me, unlovable. How could I love people who had hurt me so badly? God couldn’t want that? right? yes, He did. He meant for me to serve and love those who had hurt me. What group is the unlovable for you? People guilty of a certain sin? Fat people? Thin people? Dirty People? search your heart and then find some one that falls into that category and love them.
